The Voice 26 Recap: Blind Auditions 5 live blog with videos

The voice Season 26 Blind Auditions continues with episode 5 with new trainers Michael Buble And Snoop Dogg alongside returning vets Reba McEntire And Gwen Stefani. Carson Daly returns as host. We will be live blogging all Blind Audition performances here.

For the blinds: Each team consists of 14 artists. Each coach receives a block and a new TWIST called “The Coaches Replay”, which allows a coach to press their button after an artist finishes singing (usually coaches have to turn around during the performance).

Cameron Wright – 34 – The Way We Were by Barbra Streisand

NBC showed a preview of the entire audition. Check it out HERE. The singer’s mother signed a major record deal with a gospel label. Cameron toured with her at age 11 as a backup singer. Cameron also dueted with Stevie Wonder. The singer came out of the closet at 17. Cameron identifies as non-binary and uses the pronouns “they/them.” It took a while for mom to accept it. However, Cameron’s grandmother always accepted her. Her performance is dedicated to her.

Cameron made the coaches turn their chairs in the first few lines of the performance! The singer’s performance is soulful and dramatic, plus they exaggerate the runs, especially towards the end of the song. But Cameron managed to turn this Streisand song into a church.

Reba correctly noticed that Cameron has been singing for a long time. They started at 5 o’clock in the church. Gwen called the performance “perfect” and “inspiring.” Michael said what Cameron has cannot be bottled or purchased. He predicts that Cameron will reach the final.
