OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Monday was a chilly day for most with highs in the upper 50s and low 60s…more cool air remains in the forecast and we will be on first alert Tuesday and Wednesday as the Risk of… frost and frost.

Once the sun sets, temperatures will cool quickly, although heavy cloud cover and increasing winds late at night will ensure we don’t fall too far into the 30s for most.

It will be enough to get another round of frost and on Tuesday morning some are seeing a frost in the north.

Daytime warming will also be limited as we only reach the mid 50s and the northeast breeze remains active.

The wind will die down in the evening and with clear skies and calm winds we will likely see a drop in temperature overnight.

The chance of frost increases as temperatures will likely start in the low 30s Wednesday morning.

The growing season will be over by this time and some areas may experience severe frost.

Frost warnings are in effect for almost the entire viewing area, with the exception of the northwest corner, where frost already occurred on Monday morning.

We’ll get southerly winds later Wednesday and stay stormy through the rest of the work week.

Highs will climb back into the 70s by Thursday, with overnight temperatures in the 50s.

There may be a few showers or storms from Friday evening into Saturday morning, but the chances seem slim… Another chance is on the horizon as we start the work week.
