Stanford’s football game against Wake Forest gets kickoff time and TV network

The Stanford Cardinals (2-4, 1-2 ACC), who suffered their third straight loss after falling on the road to Notre Dame, return home this week to face No. 21 SMU, another team , which will represent a major challenge to rebuild Cardinal. And while all the focus will be on the Mustangs and getting back in the win column for the first time since Week Four, another game on the Cardinals’ schedule will get a kickoff time, as the team’s matchup against Wake Forest has a time and an official television network are fixed.

In their first two-game homestand since weeks one and two, the Cardinals face the Demon Deacons on Saturday, October 26 at Stanford Stadium. The game begins at 12:30 p.m. (PT).

This will be a game the Cardinal can’t lose, as six wins are required to qualify for a bowl game. With losses to Clemson, Virginia Tech and Notre Dame plaguing locker rooms over the last three weeks, and SMU being another team in slump, the game against Wake Forest could very well be the season’s savior becomes. The game against Virginia Tech at 12:30 p.m. and Notre Dame at 12:30 p.m. is the third noon opener for Stanford this season.

It is expected to be shown on ACC Network. This is the second week in a row that a Stanford game will be broadcast on the network, following the broadcast of the game against Notre Dame on NBC. The team will play SMU again this week on the ACC Network before facing Wake Forest again in Newwork.

This will be the first time Stanford and Wake Forest have played each other since 2010, with the Cardinals taking home a win in their previous meeting, defeating the Demon Deacons 68-24 on September 18, 2010.

The Cardinals are currently in 12th place in the ACC, tied with the Demon Deacons for that spot. With both teams having similar seasons, this game could prove to be an exciting matchup. After coming up short in recent weeks, the Cardinal will focus on regrouping against SMU this week before attempting to continue that trend when Wake Forest comes to town.
