Brawl Between Comeaux And North Vermilion Allegedly Over Video Trend | high schools

A video trend on the social media platform TikTok is believed to be the cause of a brawl following a high school football game between North Vermilion and Comeaux High.

The video “BTA” shows a soccer player in the handshake line slapping opposing players on the butt with a towel to simulate being whipped.

After the Patriots’ 36-29 victory over the Spartans, a North Vermilion player – who was not dressed for the varsity game – allegedly hit a Comeaux player with a towel while the two teams were shaking hands, breaking up the tie a fight broke out that resulted in two North Vermilion players being taken to the hospital.

Video footage of the fight was provided to the Louisiana High School Athletic Association, which is still investigating the incident. Although it is possible that the incident could result in suspensions, as of Monday, neither school had received a response from the LHSAA.
