Every Marvel Studios and DC Studios film of 2025 is ranked from Least Expected to Most Anticipated

Every Marvel Studios and DC Studios film of 2025 is ranked from Least Expected to Most Anticipated

Thanks to last year’s Hollywood strikes, 2024 hasn’t been the most exciting 365 days for comic book movies. Marvel Studios has released an instant classic Deadpool and Wolverineonly for Warner Bros. to drop a dud Joker: Folie à Deux.

We still have a few Sony titles on the way in the next few months, but in the meantime, we’re ranking the five Marvel Studios and DC Studios films coming in 2025.

Next year will see the introduction of the new DCU as the MCU begins to lay the groundwork Avengers: End of the World And Avengers: Secret Wars. It promises to be an exciting year for the genre, but which of these films are we most excited about?

You can find out by clicking the Next buttons below…

5th Blade (November 7th)

We considered including this here at all since the chances of Blade releasing on November 7th are slim at best. For some reason, Marvel Studios couldn’t crack Daywalker… five years after his film was first announced.

It feels like Mahershala Ali is announcing his exit from the project every week, and that’s a shame because this film (which last we heard is rated R) has unlimited potential.

There must be a version of blade This is worth seeing, but with the film directed by Michael B. Jordan and directed by Ryan Coogler sinner Along the way, the film runs the risk of seeming superfluous. Maybe it’s better to save it for a future team project?

Since there’s no director, we can’t get too excited about it…at least not yet.

4. Captain America: Brave New World (February 14)

We’ve heard mixed things about it Captain America: Brave New World And it’s no secret that the film had to go through extensive reshoots.

However, that doesn’t mean it will be a disaster. Marvel Studios has fixed many projects during post-production and there is nothing to say regarding this sequel The Falcon and the Winter Soldier everything will be different.

We hope this film will solidify Sam Wilson as the MCU’s new Captain America and set the stage for Red Hulk as a major threat both in this film and beyond. This character is too good to waste on a one-off appearance, especially when Harrison Ford plays him.

We think this could surprise everyone, especially if the action and story are strong enough.

3. Thunderbolts* (May 2)

While it’s true that Marvel Studios isn’t exactly sticking to the comics in its approach to this team-up, there’s still plenty of reasons to be excited about what’s to come lightning* next summer.

First of all, there’s a very good chance that the heroes left by the end credits will be the MCU’s New Avengers… or Dark Avengers. On the whole, each of these characters are compelling (especially John Walker), so seeing more of them won’t be a bad thing.

Then there’s The Sentry. This character’s live-action debut is long overdue and considering what a powerhouse he is, the crazy superhero could change the hierarchy of power in the Marvel Universe as we know it (heh).

Expect this to be a surprise in 2025 as we think the trailer only scratches the surface.

2. Superman (July 11)

In recent years, the DC brand has been damaged almost beyond repair thanks to films like… Black Adam, The lightningAnd Joker: Folie à Deux. Can Superman Right, the ship?

That’s the million dollar question, although the Man of Steel feels safe in James Gunn’s hands. The filmmaker has delivered a phenomenal trilogy with him Guardians of the Galaxy Films and for many DC fans The Suicide Squad was a step in the right direction.

Based on what we’ve seen in the set photos, Gunn has gotten Superman right and plans to tell an uplifting, ambitious story about this iconic character. The only concern we have is a bloated supporting cast full of C-list superheroes.

Still, we would have once said the same about the Guardians, so we have faith in the filmmaker.

1. The Fantastic Four: Getting Started (July 25)

After seeing the trailer that premiered at Comic-Con, we think Marvel Studios is finally going to deliver a film that’s unlike any we’ve seen them with before The Fantastic Four: Getting Started.

Be it the futuristic 1960s setting, the incredible cast or the fact that Marvel’s first family will face off against Galactus. We have all the confidence of Matt Shakman, who has done a great job WandaVision – does these characters justice on screen. Finally!

Admittedly, we have some reservations about the team coming from an alternate reality (and possibly not the same as Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom), but there has to be a good reason for that.

So yes, it is one of the two superhero films hitting theaters in July The Fantastic Four: Getting Started We see that we win the month…
