Biz Buzz: Crunch Fitness opens October 31st

ST. CLOUD – Crunch Fitness is scheduled to open Oct. 31 at Crossroads Center.

The fitness center will host a pre-opening party on October 30th. Group fitness classes begin November 4th.

Crunch Fitness announced plans for a $5 million gym at the mall in July. According to a Facebook post, the 40,000-square-foot facility will include cardio equipment, a high-intensity training area, fitness classes, free weights, personal training, tanning beds, a sauna and locker rooms.

Crunch Fitness has more than 400 locations nationwide, including in Maple Grove and Blaine.

The Crossroads Center is located at 4101 W. Division St. in St. Cloud.

New tenant planned for Crossroads Center

MINISO, a global lifestyle brand with a variety of products, is set to open at Crossroads Center. An opening date has not yet been announced.

According to information on the mall’s website, MINISO is known for its plush toys, collectible toys, stationery, beauty items, home goods, fragrances, electronics and snacks.

The store is known as the IP Collection Store, meaning it sells collaboration products with Disney, Care Bears, Pixar, Barbie, Hello Kitty and more.

MINISO has more than 100 stores nationwide, with locations on the East and West Coasts, Texas and Florida, according to store locator information on its website. The St. Cloud location would be the only store in the Midwest.

Blacklight Adventures opens new attractions

Blacklight Adventures in St. Cloud has opened two 9-hole mini golf courses and a shot simulator.

The mini golf courses are themed, with one dedicated to a pirate cove and the other to a jungle adventure. The hitting simulator allows people to practice hitting or batting in a home run derby or games.

The addition of mini golf is part of Blacklight’s nearly 12,000-square-foot expansion in part of the former Burlington Coat Factory, 240 33rd Ave. S. in St. Cloud.

Blacklight Adventures also offers laser tag, escape rooms and adventure rooms. The company is owned and operated by Jay and Tina Mzorek.

Sauk Rapids Therapy opens

Creative Connections Counseling has opened a new clinic in Sauk Rapids.

Rebecca Cluever, who has worked in mental health care for nearly 20 years, owns and operates the company. She founded her practice nine years ago, serving the Benton and Stearns County areas.

The new Sauk Rapids location is part of the city’s goal to expand its impact and provide accessible mental health care to more members of the community, according to a news release. There will be a grand opening event in December.

Creative Connections Counseling is located at 620 N. Benton Drive, Sauk Rapids.
