Football: Fast start leads ABE to victory over Ortonville – Alexandria Echo Press

ORTONVILLE – The Ashby-Brandon-Evansville soccer team scored early and often in its road game against the Ortonville Trojans on Friday. ABE scored 22 points in the first quarter and went on to win 36-6.

ABE took a 6-0 lead in the first quarter on a 33-yard touchdown pass from Micah Fuller to Bryce Froemming. A 13-yard touchdown rush by Micah Fuller and a 2-point conversion (Royce Aasness rush) gave ABE a 14-0 lead. A 3-yard touchdown pass from Fuller to Dustin Gillespie and a 2-point conversion (Aasness rush) gave ABE a 22-0 lead early in the second quarter.

The Bolts led 28-0 at halftime after an 11-yard touchdown pass from Fuller to Breckin Zwilling in the second quarter.

Rounding out the score for ABE Fuller was a 58-yard rushing touchdown in the third quarter and Thoeness scored the two-point conversion. Ortonville (0-7) scored a short touchdown pass in the fourth quarter.

ABE (3-4) ends the regular season with a battle at Border West (5-2) on Wednesday at 7 p.m
