Right, here’s what’s going on with *that* viral Temu piggy shirt on Twitter

I physically can’t escape this

Right, at this point I’m pretty sure that if you spent even 0.2 seconds on Twitter over the weekend, you’ve seen either item or tons of memes about the crazy viral Temu Pig shirt ad. When I tell you I couldn’t escape it either, I was scrolling and it was there, haunting me in all its sauna-like glory. Really cursed.

But let’s get into the details of how everyone became aware of the Temu Pig shirt and whether you can actually buy it on the website now.

The large Temu shirt first gained attention on Twitter when it became clear to everyone that they were all receiving extremely dull advertising for the garment. And I’m not just talking about a few here and there, I mean literally a pig ad every four tweets. It was intense to say the least.

As for whether you can purchase this monstrosity for yourself, although Temu has discontinued some of the pig shirts, we can all breathe a sigh of relief as you can still purchase it on the site.

In fact, Temu is bringing you not one, but two listings of the exact same Cursed Pig shirt, which is sure to please the entire Twitter community. It can be purchased for £4.49 or £7.69 (down from £29.99). That’s what I call a bargain.

It’s the seller’s sixth best-selling item and after all the ads describing it as “stylish,” I can really see why. Nothing says class like this t-shirt.

The shirt currently has a starting rating of 4.6, with one happy customer writing: “Fantastic quality. Excellent price. Fits very well. Would order again, no problem at all.” And yes, there are some real pictures of people wearing this shirt in the wild.

Terrie Symonds wrote: “Totally blew away our fucking t-shirt night in Turkey,” and included a picture of herself and her friends wearing some seriously friggin’ clothes.

About Temu

The slightly more expensive offering has 4.8 stars, so the extra price clearly conveys a feeling of quality. One woman commented: “I thought this was in poor taste but decided to give it to my husband! He likes. Good fit. Nice stuff.” Well, there you have it, really.

And of course, there are even more photos of delighted customers wearing perhaps one of the ugliest designs on a shirt I’ve ever seen.

About Temu

And if Temu is out of stock, fear not, because you can purchase the pig shirt from AliExpress, where it’s selling for just £3.99 (down from £8.14), which is 54p less than Temu sold it has sold. You’re welcome.
