Ready or Not 2 is officially revealed as star teases she's "all in" on the horror film's sequel

Good news, horror fans. After months of teasing, the time has finally come: Ready or Not 2 is officially in the works.

The news was confirmed by Paramount and filmmaking duo Radio Silence at a Searchlight screening of the original film and later Instagram with a picture of star Samara Weaving holding up the fateful card titled “Ready or Not 2” and the caption “Here we come.” The full post can be found below.

However, Weaving dropped the news a little early, confirming it in almost the most on-brand way in an interview with ComicBook. “I’m all in. I think we’re all in, I don’t know. I think we’re all in,” Weaving said. “I don’t know if we had our blood handshake, but pretty much. We did the spit handshake, but we didn’t cut each other’s hands and rub our blood together.”

Fans of the original 2019 film will remember that the cult-like family in Ready or Not has a generation-long deal with the devil. So implementing a blood pact sounds like something they would do.

“Ready or Not” is about an unsuspecting bride (Weaving) who marries into a wealthy family, only to discover that there is a wedding night tradition where everyone plays a game. But instead of reaching for Monopoly, the family opts for a murderous game of hide-and-seek, in which the blushing bride soon becomes the target of a sick and bloody ritual.

Ready or Not is directed by Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, also known as the filmmaking collective Radio Silence. In addition to Weaving, Adam Brody, Andie MacDowell, Mark O’Brien, Nicky Guadagni, Henry Czerny and others star. However, aside from Weaving, there were no other confirmed cast members for the sequel, although we can assume that most of the original cast will not be returning.

There is currently no official synopsis or release date for “Ready or Not 2”. But if the first film is anything to go by, we’re sure to be in for a wild and gruesome ride.
