Omniyat opens ZHA-designed The Alba residences in Dubai

With organic, maritime shapes reminiscent of the design of luxury cruise ships, The Alba is a new garden retreat on the coast of Palm Jumeirah, Dubai, a project by developer Omniyat, designed by Zaha Hadid Architects (ZHA) and managed by Hospitality Group Dorchester Collection.

Scheduled to open in 2028, the ultra-luxurious Alba Residences – ranging from two- and three-bedroom units to three- and four-bedroom simplex and duplex units and penthouses – feature bold, bright and expansive interiors inspired by Gilles & Boissier designed ceiling heights of over 3m and spectacular views of Dubai’s famous cityscape.

Designed by international award-winning landscape architect Vladimir Djurovic, the gardens are intended to impart tranquility and beauty, integrating the natural world with the striking architecture of the residences. The striking, curved shapes of the buildings emerge from gardens with waterfalls, lily ponds and shady walkways.

Tailor-made for those seeking a life of privacy and tranquility, The Alba offers a luxurious living experience with a focus on well-being. The project is designed for architectural durability and sustainability while offering residents a connection to nature, outstanding dining experiences, pampering branded spa treatments and elegantly furnished rooms. Each residence also features its own private amenities, including private pools, outdoor hot tubs, and elevated sundecks, all placed on expansive outdoor terraces.

The project illustrates and celebrates the legacy of ZHA founder Zaha Hadid – spatially imaginative, artistically sophisticated and technologically advanced. The design aims to meet the highest certification level of the WELL Building Standard, in line with Omniyat’s goal of combining luxury with environmental responsibility.
