YAIAA field hockey: 2024 tournament schedule, results

There is no chance of a repeat YAIAA field hockey champion.

New Oxford is not among the eight teams that will open this year’s tournament with the quarterfinals on Monday, Oct. 14.

Division I is represented by champions Dallastown, Spring Grove and Central York. Joining champion Susquehannock are Division II teams York Suburban and Kennard-Dale.

Division III is represented by co-champions Biglerville and Littlestown. The Canners and Bolts split their regular season meetings, with Biglerville having a slight goal difference. They meet in the quarter-finals in what has the potential to be a high-scoring affair.

Ava Peterson, who leads the league with 22 goals, became Biglerville’s all-time scoring leader with her goal against York County Tech on Thursday. Her teammates Kenzie Boarts and Kierney Weigle are third and fourth in the league standings.

Littlestown’s Emmy Nunemaker leads Peterson with 21 goals this season and reached 100 career points in the final week of the regular season.

Biglerville vs. Littlestown at Dallastown, 5 p.m

Dallastown vs. York Suburban at Northeastern, 7 p.m

Susquehannock vs. Kennard-Dale in Dallastown, 7 p.m

Wednesday, October 16th

Semifinals at New Oxford and Red Lion, 6 p.m

Saturday, October 19th

Final in the Hannover Stadium, 12.00 p.m
