The IHSAA will conduct its highly anticipated HS Football Section draw on Sunday

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WFIE) – The Indiana high school football postseason is less than two weeks away. That means the highly anticipated group draw took place on Sunday evening!

First, the Class 5A, Section 16 bracket. There are only four teams, and because there are fewer teams, they start a week later than the others. So North will host New Albany, and then Castle will travel east to play Floyd Central.

There are seven teams in Class 4A, Section 24. Bosse gets a bye in the first round. They face the winner of Washington in Boonville, which should be good. Below, Harrison hosts Jasper while Reitz hosts Central.

In Class 3A we talked a lot about Section 32. It will be a piece of cake. #1 Memorial will take on Mater Dei. Southridge will host Mount Vernon. Princeton will host Vincennes Lincoln. Then there will be a rematch of last year’s 3A semistate game, only this year in Fort Branch: Heritage Hills at Gibson Southern! What a section!

In Class 2A, Section 39, Pike Central hosts Greencastle, while North Posey will travel north to Terre Haute to face undefeated South Vermillion.

There is only one local team in Class 2A, Section 40, and that is Tell City, which will move slightly north to face Crawford County.

In Class 1A Section 48, Tecumseh hosts Perry Central and South Spencer will face Forest Park. These should also be good games. The section fun begins Friday, October 25th!
