All NFC North teams picked up four wins in six weeks, the first time this has happened since the realignment in 2002

The NFC North isn’t just the best division in football. It is the best divisional football there has been in the last six weeks since the league realigned to six four-team divisions.

According to the NFL, the NFC North is the first league in which all teams have achieved four or more wins in six weeks since the current format was introduced in 2002.

The Vikings, who were sidelined this week, are 5-0. The Lions are 4-1, the Packers are 4-2 and the Bears are 4-2.

Next week the Vikings host the Lions, the Packers host the 5-1 Texans and the Bears are out.

Additionally, if the season ended today, all four NFC North teams would make the playoffs.

It is theoretically possible for four teams from the same division to make the playoffs since each conference now has three wild card teams. However, the fourth-place team in one division would have to have a better record than the second-place team in the other three divisions.

This is exactly the case at the moment.
