Person hospitalized after shooting at Pennsylvania mall

One person was taken to the hospital after a shooting occurred in the parking lot of a Springfield Township shopping center Sunday afternoon, Delaware County emergency medical services said.

Around 4 p.m., Delaware County emergency services said they received a call reporting a shooting at 857 Baltimore Pike in Springfield Township, where The Shops At Springfield Park is located.

After the shooting, authorities examined the crime scene in the mall parking lot.

Delaware County authorities did not immediately provide further information on the status of the shooting victim.

Shops At Springfield Park include Hobby Lobby, Target, Chick-fil-A and LA Fitness.
