Mets vs. Dodgers Game 1 Score, Live Updates: NLCS kicks off in Los Angeles with Shohei Ohtani looking for his first World Series trip

The National League Championship Series is here and it’s a massive coast-to-coast duel between the New York Mets and the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The Mets clinched one of the final NL wild card spots on the final day of the regular season before defeating the Brewers and Phillies so far this postseason, while the Dodgers were among the top teams in the NL and all of baseball season long.

The Dodgers won four of the six games the teams played this season, and Shohei Ohtani was a key factor for Los Angeles. In five of those games, the National League MVP favorite posted a .316/.458/.684 batting average with two home runs, six RBI and five walks in 24 plate appearances.

Sunday night, Jack Flaherty (0-1, 5.1 IP, 6.75 ERA in the 2024 postseason) starts for the Dodgers against Kodai Senga (0-0, 2.0 IP, 4.50 ERA) for the Mets, the first Pitch is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. ET at Dodger Stadium, and you can watch the game on Fox.
