Lamont Butler is releasing a music video at midnight

I’m not sure all the player introductions we’ve seen at Kentucky over the years have included a Wildcat rapping his own song down the steps and onto the stage at Rupp Arena, where he performed in front of 22K of dancing teammates surrounded was strong.

But Lamont ButlerIt doesn’t happen too often.

Kentucky’s starting point guard listened to his new song before Big Blue Madness before performing it in front of a sold-out crowd.

“Amari (Williams) and BG (Brandon Garrison) on the sidelines and I bet they hang. I don’t even have to fire my shot, I just catch and pop. “Outlet, we runnin’ up and down the floor, you can’t pressure us, people,” Butler rapped. “I can’t wait to play in Rupp, I’m just counting the titles. All the girls come and say: “Hello Kerr (Kriisa)!” like some mountaineers. Too many people say they have exercise, that’s a thousand liars. Travis (Perry)’s jumper has good mechanics, like he’s putting tires on.”

Butler lip-synced the whole thing, but it’s the thought that counts. Bonus points for creativity.

But what happens next? That can’t be the last we’ve heard of the song, can it? There has to be an official release of the title highlighting his teammates while also discussing his time in Lexington and finishing his career at Kentucky?

Good news, Big Blue Nation. It’s coming your way at midnight tonight – including a music video that Butler previewed on social media this afternoon.

“There’s a music video coming out tonight,” Butler announced. “Thanks to BBN for appearing at Big Blue Madness.”

The double Butler look in his Kentucky jersey and a behind-the-scenes look at his Madness performance? Oh, it’s going to be spectacular.

Who will be the first record label to sign the point guard Wildcat to a NIL deal?
