    2. Strips à la Beetlejuice

Timeless stripes will forever have their place in interiors, but for Halloween you should choose them exclusively in black and white. It’s all about channeling the gothic glamor vibe of this year’s blockbuster sequel. Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.

“Stripes are the characteristic print of the.” Beetlejuice film and will be the most important design element to consider when designing your home to create an authentic, Beetlejuice-inspired style,” says Cassandra Leisz, creative director at Ruggable. “You should choose moody hues like charcoal, black, navy blue or burgundy to really bring out the gothic undertones of the film.” For example, take inspiration from Beetlejuice’s very own suit and incorporate black and white stripes into yours for a striking finish Interior. This bold pattern is known to create dramatic depth in modern, eclectic, art deco and glamorous decors alike. So try mixing it with any aesthetic to create a visual pop.”

To keep it a little more understated, you can break up a monochromatic vase with a lush green houseplant or add hot pink candles to a black candle holder to create an eye-catching table centerpiece.

    4. Minimalist and classy

Another unexpected twist for the spooky season is the minimalist Halloween table decor trend, and for 2024, the more understated the better.

“I think the minimalist trend of Halloween decorations that fit your decor style, rather than classic, flashy decorations, will be more popular this year,” says interior designer Tommy Kebbson, who is working with Nio Cocktails to create the perfect Halloween tablescape.

“Sleek designs that scream “comfortable luxury” are currently very popular. “In my opinion, muted colors, fine furniture and small luxurious details are becoming increasingly popular and will also be reflected in seasonal designs, for example for Halloween.”

Neutral pumpkin tones like cream, sage green, or earthy yellow work with this look, says Tommy, incorporating vintage elements to create authenticity. “Adding vintage elements can give your room an old-fashioned feel.” Try dark lace, antique furniture or vintage portraits to bring some darkness into your home without overwhelming the space,” he advises.

The final upswing? Provide dim lighting and create an atmospheric atmosphere with candlesticks. “You can add some spookiness with darker candle holders, especially if you find vintage or drippy candle holders,” says Tommy.

To weave in the colors of the season, Claire Bishop, senior houseplant buyer at Dobbies, suggests: “The Calathea Crocata Tassmania, with its bright orange flower spikes, can bring a touch of autumnal warmth to your home.” “This plant makes a statement A splash of color, making it ideal for creating a bold contrast to darker green or eerie decorations.”

To add depth and intrigue, combine this with Zamioculcas Black Raven, known for its dark, glossy leaves. “The black raven is a real statement piece and looks incredibly dramatic when placed in a dark corner with a ceiling spotlight casting spooky shadows,” says Claire.

One of the top blooms for Halloween will be Aeschynanthus Rasta, which Claire says is “perfect for making some haunting twists with its curly foliage.” For a spooky spooky effect, add cucurbita to empty spaces, she says, “they create a spooky atmosphere and fit effortlessly into the Halloween theme.”
