Jets are committed to “run-focused” attacks

With Robert Saleh out and Jeff Ulbrich in (and more importantly, Nathaniel Hackett out and Todd Downing coming in), the biggest question is whether the offense will be better.

It will definitely be different. Assuming, of course, that the quarterback plays along.

Fox’s Jay Glazer reports that the Jets have a “Run-focused offense” begins Monday night against the Bills.

Through five games, starting running back Breece Hall has just 65 carries for 197 yards plus two touchdowns. He added 148 as a receiver, with one more touchdown. Rookie Braelon Hall has 32 carries for 143 yards.

Will Aaron Rodgers ultimately come out of running games? He has in the past insisted on the freedom to change the piece into something he believes will work based on his extensive experience. Will he do that under Downing — and if Rodgers goes rogue, what will Downing or the Jets do about it?
