Here’s what’s open and closed across Windsor this Thanksgiving

It’s Thanksgiving Day, Windsor, and here’s everything you need to know about what’s open and what’s closed across the city.

Relaxation, culture and fun

Community centers and arenas will remain closed Monday, except for rentals or events that have already been booked.

The Windsor International Aquatic and Training Centre, Gino and Liz Marcus pools and WFCU remain closed. Adventure Bay water park remains closed.

The Lakeview Marina office and gas station are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and the launch ramps are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m

All Windsor Public Library locations are closed on Sundays and Mondays, but some services are available online at WindsorPublicLibrary.com.

The Chimczuk Museum and François Baby House will remain closed during their usual opening hours on Monday.

Devonshire and Tecumseh malls will remain closed Monday

City services

The city’s 311 customer contact center will be closed Monday and will reopen at 8 a.m. Tuesday. 311 services are also available online. 211 services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Since there will be no household waste collection on Monday, collection will be delayed by one day. Overnight, front loader and weekly recycling pickups will not be delayed.

The public drop-off and chemical waste depots will remain closed on Monday.

The city cash registers remain closed. Tickets can still be paid for online.

The city’s homeless and housing assistance center at the former Windsor Water World will operate regular hours of 8 a.m. to midnight. For more information about services, residents can call (519) 253-3806.

All Transit Windsor service will operate on a Sunday schedule on Bank Holiday Monday and the downtown customer service office will remain closed.
