Strictly Come Dancing enthusiasts are all thrilled with the same reaction when week four spoilers surfaced online and it’s safe to say they “didn’t expect” the outcome.

Every Saturday, an insider from the Strictly studios shares the results with the website StrictlySpoiler.com, managed by Dave Thorp. Since the results episode is recorded immediately after the live show on Saturday and is not broadcast live the following day, its accuracy is usually on point.

The production goes to considerable lengths to hide the fact that the results show is actually filmed on the same day, including a complete makeover of the stars’ wardrobes and references to “yesterday” and “last night” throughout the show.

Despite the blog’s usual warnings for viewers to take their “complaints to the BBC”, followers couldn’t remain silent after learning who was facing elimination and eventual exclusion from the competition and took to social media to protest to express their opinion.

This gossip cascade followed an initial delay in the spoiler leak on Saturday evening (October 12) and caused concern among avid viewers. Dave gave a warning: “Just a warning that it might be very late with the spoiler tonight or even tomorrow as no moles have reported yet.”
