Strictly fans cheer as ‘correct result’ of week four elimination results leaked | Television & Radio | Showbiz and television

Just moments after the Strictly Come Dancing contestants hit the dance floor, the next celebrity to be eliminated was announced.

The result of the dance-off, which was filmed immediately after the live show on Saturday (October 12th), will not be officially announced until Sunday evening (October 13th).

Despite the BBC’s efforts to keep the results secret for 24 hours, the identities of the axed pairings have been published online every Saturday since 2012.

This has previously angered the Strictly team, leading to judge Anton Du Beke saying it would “ruin” the show for loyal fans.

This week was no different as the name of the celebrity being eliminated this weekend was leaked online, although Express.co.uk has decided not to reveal which couple was evicted.

The spoiler’s source wrote: “With movie week a long way off, Halloween is the next big milestone our 13 remaining couples are aiming for. But there are still a few weeks left until we experience trick-or-treating.”

“The BBC may want you to wait until you hear the results, but I’m happy to share with you the identity of the latest couple to leave the Strictly ballroom.”

The leak sparked a storm of outrage as many took to social media to vent their displeasure with the findings online. Others criticized the report for destroying the element of surprise a day before the relevant show.

Meanwhile, a third agreed: “Wow I was surprised to see her in the dance-off but the star with the boots was the right choice,” and another added: “I agree with the result. The right couple was saved.”

Last weekend’s movie night ended with mixed reactions when Olympian Tom Dean was eliminated from the competition.

Together with his partner Nadiya Bychkova, the two landed in the last two places and performed “The Cha Cha to Boogie Wonderland” by Earth, Wind & Fire for the second time.

Meanwhile, Toyah Wilcox and her dance partner Neil Jones reprized their jive to “Nutbush City Limits” by Ike & Tina Turner.

After the judges voted to save Toyah, the athlete reflected on his Strictly journey, saying: “I’ve had the best time over the last few weeks and working with Nadiya has been incredible.”

Strictly Come Dancing airs on BBC One from 6.20pm on Saturday or you can watch the show on BBC iPlayer.
