Now there are rumors that the dinosaur group will grow with the addition of two new types in version 5.2.

Information obtained from an unknown leaker was published in a post marked “Reliable” on Reddit, Highlighting two new lizard types in version 5.2. The first is the Qucusaur mentioned above, while the second is reportedly called Iktomisaurus. The Qucusaur is a red-colored bird-like creature that can glide and fly in Natlan. Iktomisaur dinosaurs, on the other hand, are bat-like creatures that can jump high and temporarily glide. While flying seems to be the biggest improvement in mobility Genshin Impact 5.2 has dinosaurs leaked, they could actually be helpful with other types of mechanics.

The Qucusaur appears to be a type of lizard specifically focused on mobility. According to the leak, Qucusauri can glide and then consume phlogiston to ascend mid-flight or perform a horizontal roll in mid-air. The leak also says that Qucusaur dinosaurs can also fly at higher speeds when players press the sprint button. It looks like Qucusaur is all about flying from point A to point B quickly, so there’s a chance there will be challenges involving the creatures’ movement mechanics Genshin Impact.

Although the Iktomisaur can fly to some extent, it seems to be less focused on the mechanics of flight itself. As seen in the leak, Iktomisauri can hold down a button to aim (possibly like the Yumkasauri) and enter the Ghost Speaker state. The leak mentions that in this condition Ictomisaurs can absorb phlogiston from objects in their field of vision. Additionally, Iktomisaur dinosaurs can reportedly cause special graffiti and phlogiston engravings to appear for a limited time.

This seems to indicate that Iktomisauri’s main purpose will be to detect secrets using his special vision abilities.

As with any type of leak, this information should be viewed with caution. The information may be incorrect, incomplete or change prior to the release of version 5.2. Nonetheless, the new Saurian leaks appear to be reliable and on par with other leaks, such as those suggesting that there will be new areas on the Natlan map Genshin Impact 5.2, which will most likely contain these special graffiti and phlogiston engravings, for example.
