Sarah Paulson refreshes the blazer trend with an oversized gray jacket

Sarah Paulson swaps silhouettes with almost every outfit, but if there’s one thing she’ll never give up, it’s the tailored blazer.

At an event in New York City for Roger Vivier on Wednesday, American horror story Star stepped out in a sophisticated look. An oversized gray blazer was the highlight of her outfit, as it hugged most of her figure in its structured shape that stopped just above her knees. In addition to the subtle collar, the jacket featured a few small brown buttons and a single pocket.

Paulson paired the blazer with a brown midi skirt, letting the pleated garment pop out of her top with a supremely satisfying flourish. Below, the actor wore a pair of beige Roger Vivier pumps, complete with the label’s signature gold buckle. She also carried a puffy black clutch, and while the accessory didn’t match the color palette of her ensemble, it worked well with the other elegant pieces.

A large gold ring and delicate gold necklace completed Paulson’s outfit, which she completed with sophisticated glamour. She wore her dark brown hair in a long, straightened bob with a middle part and for makeup she opted for fluffy brows and coral lipstick. A milky white manicure completed her look.

The last few weeks have seen Paulson experiment with her fashion more than ever – an adventurous ethos she has already applied to her acting career. “It’s the only place where I’m not afraid to go somewhere uncomfortable,” she said Harper’s Bazaar in 2020 when she was working on it Rated. “I’m not afraid of being ugly. I feel a certain sense of pride that I can do this and forego all the things that happen in every other aspect of my life when this happens. But in this one area I can actually say that I feel capable of being fearless.”
