The SVU leading man is open to appearances throughout the Dick Wolf universe

One Law & Order: Special Victims Unit Star is ready to move on to other shows. The show told the story of an NYPD unit dedicated to combating criminal sexual offenses law and orderis the first spin-off and has been running since 1999. Over the years, the cast has almost completely changed, so that only Mariska Hargitay’s Olivia Benson remained from the first season. Hargitay’s retention is impressive as the series is already in its 26th season SVU is currently waiting for the 27th season to be renewed.

Kelli Giddish, who joined the show in season 13, spoke with Screen rant exclusively about their experiences SVU. While Giddish has enjoyed Rollins’ role in the intelligence unit, She would like to appear on another Dick Wolf show. She enjoyed performing there Chicago PDSo a new one law and order, FBIor A Chicago Crossover would be exciting for them. Check out her full quote below:

Screen Rant:
It feels like Rollins’ new job in the intelligence unit could intersect with so many different shows in the Dick Wolf universe. Would you be willing to return to One Chicago or another Law & Order series?

Kelli Giddish:
I think that would be so much fun. And what an opportunity that Dick Wolf and Company presents, since we all live in the same world, that this is actually possible.
When I went to the Chicago Police Department years ago, it was so much fun.
You’re on a completely different set with a completely different cast and crew and you get to play for a week, so I’m definitely open to anything.

What Kelli Giddish’s statement means for law and order

Rollins could cross paths with other shows

Rollins is no longer assigned to the Special Victims Unit as she is now a member of the Intelligence Unit. As a secret service investigator It’s Rollins’ job to travel around the city conducting counterterrorism operations. This means she can easily interact with other teams and possibly even other Dick Wolf shows. She has already appeared in Chicago fire And Chicago PDso Rollins’ reintroductions don’t require too much explanation. She could even get into other shows, including the original law and order or FBI: Most Wanted.

Giddish has fueled speculation about a possible spin-off show led by Rollins.

Part of the franchise’s appeal has always been its ability to expand its reach to other cities and concepts. Rollins spent much of her career doing this SVUbut the newly mobile role gives her the opportunity to jump from show to show. She could easily become a traveling character, making regular guest appearances on each of the Dick Wolf shows. Without a spot at Benson’s SVU Team that can offer her the only reasonable opportunity to enjoy regular performances away from everyday drama.

Our take on potential Amanda Rollins crossovers

Dick Wolf’s universe was built for crossovers

Crossovers are a natural next step for Rollins’ character. Considering how many Dick Wolf shows are currently on television, Rollins could serve as the glue that holds them together. It is in a unique position because its counterterrorism operations could well take it to other cities to investigate potential threats. A spin-off is probably the best platform for her character, as constant overlap could be distracting, but it would be good for her to expand Law & Order: Special Victims Unit to other shows.
