Today’s Presidents Athletic Conference duel pits two undefeated teams against each other!

No. 14 Carnegie Mellon travels north to face No. 7 Grove City this afternoon.

Kickoff at Robert E. Thorn Field is scheduled for 2 p.m

Battle of the undefeated

Both teams in today’s matchup entered the season with high expectations and were ranked No. 1 and No. 2 in the PAC preseason poll.

So far they have lived up to the hype.

Carnegie Mellon is 5-0 this season and has only been properly tested once.

The Tartans picked up easy wins against Thiel, Geneva and Bethany before an overtime win against Washington & Jefferson moved them to 4-0. Things went smoothly for CMU last week with a 42-0 win over Waynesburg.

On the other side of the ball, Grove City is 4-0 and has put up big offensive numbers every week.

Big wins over Geneva, Saint Vincent and Allegheny gave the Wolverines a 3-0 record, and last week they scored 62 points in a road win over Bethany.

Grove City running back Nico Flati and CMU running back Tre Vasiliadis currently rank 2nd and 3rd in the PAC in rushing yards.
