Game 5 of the Guardians-Tigers ALDS has been postponed until Saturday afternoon

Rainy weather has led MLB to move up Game 5 of the American League Division Series between the Cleveland Guardians and Detroit Tigers, the league announced Friday.

Instead of starting at 8:08 p.m. ET on Saturday, first pitch at Progressive Field in Cleveland will take place at 1:08 p.m. ET.

According to the Weather Network, occasional afternoon showers and overnight rain are forecast in Cleveland.

The Guardians won a back-and-forth 5-4 on Thursday, forcing the fifth and deciding game of the series. David Fry scored the first shot for the franchise and secured the away win with a narrow home run.

The winner of Saturday’s game will face the New York Yankees in the American League Championship Series, which is scheduled to begin Monday night in the Bronx.
