Dunkin’s spring menu just leaked and there are some big surprises

Spring is almost over at Dunkin’. Although there are still a few weeks until the chain’s rumored release of its new spring menu on February 21st, a recent leak surfaced on social media and there are already a few standout items that have fans swooning.

The new menu was shared by Instagram user @markie_devo and offers something for everyone. For those with a sweet tooth, there’s the decadent Churro Signature Latte. Available iced or hot, the latte is made with churro syrup and topped with whipped cream, caramel and cinnamon sugar.

If you’re looking for something more refreshing for the balmy spring months, Dunkin’ also offers two SPARKD’ energy drinks: Berry Burst and Peach Sunshine. Both drinks are made from a flavored syrup and chilled mineral water.

Surprisingly, though, it’s the new Breakfast Empanada that’s really getting people talking on social media. The savory empanada is filled with scrambled eggs, melted cheddar cheese and sausage. The ingredient list has many wondering if the empanada will be meatless and if there will be other meat options.

The breakfast empanada may look familiar to some, as the menu item was tested at select Dunkin’ locations in New York and Michigan last year. There aren’t many reviews from those who got to try the empanada, but according to one Reddit user, it’s “expensive for what you get, but the taste is good and it’s not a mess to eat with one hand.”

Other new additions to Dunkin’s upcoming spring menu include the Churro Classic Donut, Banana Chocolate Chip Bread and Cinnamon Vanilla Coffee.
