Men’s Soccer defeated #5 Colorado College

ROUND ROCKTexas – The Concordia Texas men’s soccer team lost to fifth-ranked Colorado College in a 3-0 game. It was a close game throughout as both teams played to a draw for 75 minutes on Friday at the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex.

The Tornadoes were the aggressor in the first half as they fired more shot attempts (7-3). Threatening to score, Alejandro Rojas & Gustavo Hernandez Both shots are narrowly parried by the opposing goalkeeper.

When both teams ended the break with a 0-0 score, Colorado College found its rhythm offensively thanks to counterattacks. Their first goal came in the 77th minute from a free kick just outside the penalty area. They then scored two more goals in the final minutes to secure the win.

Concordia Texas will look to bounce back in an important conference game this Sunday at 1 p.m.
