Call Of Duty Black Ops 6 pre-load date and download size revealed

The pre-load date and download size for the upcoming first-person shooter Call of Duty Black Ops 6 from Activision, Treyarch and Raven Software have been announced.

PlayStationSize on Twitter/X has revealed the preload date and download size for Call of Duty Black Ops 6 on PS4, thanks to current database entries on PlayStation servers. Compared to previous entries, the latest title in the popular first-person shooter series will take up a modest amount of storage space. However, users with limited available space on the internal storage drive are recommended to free up some space in advance. It goes without saying that storage expansion options are available for those who need them.

The Call of Duty Black Ops 6 preload on PS4 and PS5 comes with the latest update pre-installed for anyone who has pre-ordered a digital copy of the game, although a day one update may be released closer to release on October 25th2024. In the meantime, those who purchased the game on CD will need to download the update. Anyone who pre-ordered the game can pre-load it on October 20, 2024.

The total download size for the PS4 version of Call of Duty Black Ops 6, including Campaign Pack 1, Campaign Pack 2, and Multiplayer Pack, is almost 40GB. The download size of the PS5 version is currently unknown, but it is expected to support high-resolution textures and therefore be larger than the previous generation version.

Black Ops 6 is scheduled to launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S and will also be available to subscribers of select Xbox Game Pass plans on launch day.
