The Frieze London art fair, which opened to the public on October 10th, is dedicating a section to ceramics for the first time, with Latin American artists in particular represented.

And it was a Latin American gallery that won this year’s Frieze London Stand Prize. Proyectos Ultravioleta in Guatemala City won for its double presentation of works by Guatemalan artists Edgar Calel and Rosa Elena Curruchich.

Around 60,000 gallery owners, collectors, influencers and visitors are expected in the British capital for the four-day annual event.

As one of the world’s largest and most prestigious contemporary art fairs, Frieze London offers visitors the opportunity to see works by both big names and emerging artists.
