Disney's live-action film "Lilo & Stitch" has a release date

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Disney has announced the release date for the live-action film “Lilo and Stitch.”

The remake of the animated classic will premiere on May 23, 2025.

Playing the main roles in the film:

Hawaii Island’s Maia Kealoha in her debut role as Lilo.
Kauai native Sydney Agudong as Nani.
Kaipo Dudoit as David Kawena.
Tia Carrere as Mrs. Kekoa, an original character who is a social worker in charge of Lilo and Nani’s case.

Stitch is created using CGI and voiced by Chris Sanders. Sanders voiced Stitch in the original 2002 animated film, which he co-wrote and directed.
