Kim Jones is leaving Fendi after four years

British designer Kim Jones will leave his role as artistic director of womenswear and couture at Italian fashion house Fendi, it was announced this afternoon (October 11, 2024). He will continue to serve as artistic director of Dior Men, another house in the LVMH group, the statement said.

Jones began his employment at Fendi in 2020, filling the position left vacant following the death of Karl Lagerfeld in February 2019. His collections for Fendi reinterpreted the house’s Roman roots in the designer’s elegant, contemporary style, while nods to his own fixations – including the work of the Bloomsbury Group – were woven throughout. In the statement, Fendi says he was “guided by passion and creativity, constantly innovating the house’s codes.”
