Karly is currently setting the 6K school record at the Marauders Open

BISMARCK, N.D. – Valley City State Cross County competed in the Marauders Open in Bismarck, N.D. This was their fourth of five events scheduled this year.

On the women’s side, teams U-Mary, Minot State and Bismarck State took part in this race. In a field of 41 runners, VCSUs Karly Just, Jasmine BarnesAnd Emily Hatlewick competed as individuals. Karly JustFinishing seventh, she beat her own school record with a time of 22:27.8, nearly a minute faster than her best time earlier this season. Jasmine Barnes finished 15^Th with a time of 23:14.6, and Emily Hatlewick finished 41st^st with a time of 29:47.3.

On the men’s side, teams from Northern State, U-Mary, Bismarck State, Minot State and Valley City State took part in this race. The men ran an 8km race in a field of 49 runners and a few solo runners. Tate Minnihan led the VCSU men with a time of 28:22.4, a 31^st finish place. Take 36^Th Zach Baumgartner finished the race with a time of 29:01.6. Brackin Awender And Garet Hoke finished 41st^st and 42^nd with 29:47.0 and 29:56.1 respectively. Isaac Eichhorst rounded out VCSU’s performance with a 47^Th Finished with a time of 30:44.9.
