EA Sports CFB 25 simulation for Oregon vs. Ohio State

The biggest game of the season is just around the corner. Saturday night’s Oregon vs. Ohio State game will be one of the best of the week and will capture the attention of the entire nation.

Everyone will be excited to see if Oregon can keep up with the preseason Big Ten favorite or if the Buckeyes are on track to beat the conference’s top freshman. This will be one of the best battles of the season and could show the rest of the country that the Big Ten is not to be messed with – yes, it’s still weird to say Oregon is a Big Ten team.

As has become a weekly tradition, I decided to run an EA Sports College Football 25 simulation on the game and the results were interesting.

According to CFB 25, Ohio State unfortunately edged out Oregon in this game, as the Buckeyes won 21-14 in Eugene despite outshooting the Ducks 398-310.

Ohio State led 14-0 at halftime and Oregon came back to tie the score before the Buckeyes scored on a 16-yard touchdown run by Quinshon Judkins with 31 seconds left to win.

Here are the main characters of the simulation:

player

statistics

Dillon Gabriel

20 for 29, 245 yards, 2 INTs; 49 rushing yards

Jordan James

17 carries, 71 yards, TD

Noah Whittington

11 carries, 33 yards, TD; 2 catches, 7 yards

Tez Johnson

5 catches for 55 yards

Terrance Ferguson

5 catches for 63 yards

Traeshon Holden

4 catches for 69 yards

Evan Stewart

3 catches for 32 yards

Matayo Uiagalelei

4 tackles, 2 tackles for loss

Jordan Burch

4 tackles, 1 sack

Derrick Harmon

2 tackles, 1 sack

Jeffrey Bassa

3 tackles, 1 pass breakup

College Football 25 predicts another two-interception game from Gabriel, which would almost certainly end any Heisman hopes, but it predicts solid play from Jordan Hames, Tez Johnson, Terrance Ferguson and Traeshon Holden.

On defense, Jordan Burch added another sack and Matayo Uiagalelei continued to dominate.

Will any of this come true?
