Drake’s son’s birthday celebration captured in candid video

Drake shared a heartwarming moment with his son Adonis on his 7th birthday as they shot hoops together, before what was likely a bigger celebration later.

Drizzy posted a clip on Instagram on Friday (October 11) showing the pair in the gym on Adonis’ big day – and pointed out that it would likely be the last time he could score against him.

“Big Adi Day!” he wrote. “Happy birthday kid, 7 years old, I hope you get a lot of fun out of some of my recent videos.”

Adonis, a true basketball fan, received a signed jersey from Charlotte Hornets point guard LaMelo Ball while attending a game earlier this year.

Before the North Carolina team’s game against the Toronto Raptors in March, the team’s Instagram account posted a video of Ball presenting the then-six-year-old with a jersey.

“What’s wrong, Adonis? Are you okay?” Melo said to the boy while shaking hands with those present. “I have a little present for you, man. Little little something. Little Jersey gang.”

“I didn’t know your partner was with you,” he added, realizing he had nothing for Graham’s friend.

The clip ended with Ball asking if the youngster wanted to take a selfie together. Check out the healing moment below:

The connection between Ball and Graham dates back to 2023 Adonis drew a picture of the famous basketball player, which was later shared on his father’s Instagram account. The All-Star hooper then sent Adonis a pair of his signature Puma shoes.

Meanwhile, Drizzy has set the bar pretty high when it comes to achieving his son’s dreams of playing basketball.

In January, Drake posted a series of photos on Instagram of Adonis playing basketball and predicted that he would watch his son get drafted by the NBA when he’s older. The 6th God sees potential in his son despite his young age and predicts he will be a big league draft pick when he comes of age.

Drake proves that supporting young gangsters isn’t just for show in his new offering, “Pouty.”

“I’m leaving this one until the 2036 draft,” the Canadian rhymer captioned the pictures of his son playing the sport.

DJ Khaled, Jim Jones and others showed their love for children in the comments section.
