ITV2 suffers an outage during broadcast of Big Brother: Late & Live

ITV2 experienced an outage during the live broadcast of Big Brother: Late and livewhich dragged out the show for a few minutes.

The British broadcaster found itself in trouble after the free-to-air channel’s audio experienced technical difficulties.

Big Brother: Late and live aired on ITV2 and featured an interview with the first evicted housemate of the 2024 season. The audio was edited out after presenter Will Best interacted with a viewer during it the live show.

The show continued with no sound, giving viewers at home the impression that something was wrong with the volume. However, soon after, a message from ITV2 appeared on screen confirming technical problems.

“We are currently experiencing a technical problem,” the screen says. “While we try to fix this, enjoy Big Brothers The greatest moments of all time. We hope we can be back soon with today’s live show.”

After the declaration, a show with AJ Odudu was aired which featured some of the greatest moments of Big Brother UK. However, the audio problems remained and viewers could only see the images.

A second statement from ITV2 appeared on screen, saying “We are sorry for the disruption”, and a voice-over reassured viewers that the broadcaster was working on a solution.

Big Brother: Late and live Hosted by AJ Odudu and Will Best A few minutes later, the message came back on the screen, acknowledging the technical issues. However, it was time to end the live show and they only returned to say goodbye for the night.

ITV2 was restored and the channel continued its regular programming.
