Deputy involved shooting is under investigation in Castaic

Officials are investigating an officer who shot in Castaic on Friday.

According to officials, an officer-involved shooting occurred around 12:10 a.m. Friday near Sloan Canyon Road and Parker Road in Castaic.

According to the fire department, the patient was taken to the hospital.

At the time of publishing this article, it is unknown what led to the shooting.

Initial reports indicate no officers were injured in the shooting.
