Zay Jones and Darius Robinson will not play for the Cardinals this week

The Cardinals recalled receiver Zay Jones from a suspension and designated first-round rookie defensive lineman Darius Robinson, who returns from IR this week. But neither player will be on the field for Sunday’s game against Green Bay.

Via Darren Urban of the team’s website, Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon has ruled out both Robinson and Jones for this week.

Jones is struggling with a hamstring problem. He was limited in training on Thursday.

Robinson (calf) was limited on Wednesday and was unable to practice on Thursday. Gannon noted that Robinson struggles with discomfort and Arizona wants to be smart about him.

Jones signed with the Cardinals in May after catching 34 passes for 321 yards and two touchdowns for Jacksonville last year.

Arizona selected Robinson 27th overall out of Mizzou in the spring.

The Cardinals’ full Week 6 injury report with game status will be released later today.
