Lil Baby, whose real name is Dominique Armani Jones, was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon without a permit. He had the gun on Aug. 26 at an unnamed property on the Las Vegas Strip.

It was stuck in his waistband while he was playing at the casino.

He told Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) officers that he had forgotten he was carrying the firearm and that he had it with him when he was at a nightclub earlier that evening.

He has a permit to carry a concealed weapon in Georgia, but the Georgia permit does not apply to Nevada, police said.

According to the Las Vegas television station, the charges were dropped on October 1 after prosecutors reviewed the case CLASS.

According to an arrest report, Jones told LVMPD officers to “simply arrest him on the charges and let him go.” He predicted he would “deflect the charges.”

Defendant in the death of a cyclist has no jurisdiction over the trial

A teenager arrested in the death of a former California police chief has been ruled incompetent to stand trial.

The verdict was announced Wednesday in a Las Vegas court when defendant Jesus Ayala appeared for a competency hearing before Judge Christy Craig, according to Las Vegas television KTNV.

Ayala was ordered to report to Lake’s Crossing Center, a mental health facility in Sparks, Nevada. He may have brain damage, the report continued.

Mental health professionals reportedly disagreed about whether Ayala should face trial. The trial was scheduled to begin on November 12th.

Ayala was identified as the driver of the car that struck Andreas “Andy” Probst, 64, on August 14, 2023, near Tenaya Way and Centennial Parkway in Las Vegas.

Ayala was arrested the day of the accident and is charged with causing the fatal collision as well as other offenses including murder, attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, leaving the scene of an accident, and theft and burglary.

A passenger, Jzamir Keys, was charged with murder, attempted murder and assault on September 19, 2023. Keys will next appear in court on October 22nd.

The two teenagers were also arrested for burglary and hitting another cyclist.

According to authorities, the duo allegedly stole at least four cars before embarking on their crime spree.

Ayala was also charged with attempted murder for a 2023 stabbing. This case is still pending.

“I don’t know why he did that,” Ayala’s mother said CLASS on the day of a court hearing in the death of the police chief. “I don’t know if God can forgive this.”
