One22 is offering free financial empowerment workshops in the fall

JACKSON, Wyo. – One22 is offering fall financial empowerment workshops from October 15th to November 6th to help community members expand their financial knowledge and build solid foundations for financial stability.

According to a press release, these workshops will cover a variety of topics in both English and Spanish. The keynote lecture, “Money Stories: The Missing Checkbox in Your Financial Life,” will be delivered by Jen Hemphill, award-winning podcaster, AFC® (Accredited Financial Counselor), author and speaker, on October 23rd in English and October 23rd. 24 in Spanish.

One22 writes that Hemphill will examine the relationship people have with money and what the root causes of repeated money mistakes might be. Participants will be able to identify their own money stories, how to write new ones, and how this can accelerate their financial goals.

Other workshops include “The Basics: Banking, Saving, and Investing” with Ray Espinoza, “Savings and Debt: Making Your Money Work for YOU!” with Megan Smith and Kenya Stack, and “Why Credit is Important: A User’s Guide” with Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Teton Area.

“Feedback from our spring series helped us identify the financial topics our community members are most interested in,” says Isabel Zumel, director of strategic projects, in One22’s press release. “We are pleased about these offers and are grateful for the wealth of experience that each speaker brings with them.”

The Basics: Banking, Saving and Investing with Ray Espinoza

The Spanish version will take place in person in the First Interstate Bank Conference Room or online on Tuesday, October 15, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The English version will take place in person in the First Interstate Bank Conference Room or online on Wednesday, October 16, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Money Stories: The Missing Check Box in Your Financial Life with Jen Hemphill

The English version will be held on Wednesday, October 23, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Upper Classroom of the Jackson Hole History Museum.

The Spanish version will be held on Thursday, October 24th from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Teton County Library’s Ordway Auditorium.

Savings and Debt: Making Your Money Work for You with Megan Smith and Kenya Stack

The English and Spanish versions will be held on Tuesday, October 29, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Teton County Library’s Ordway Auditorium.

Why Credit Matters: A User’s Guide with Habitat for Humanity

The English and Spanish versions will be held on Wednesday, November 6th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Upper Classroom of the Jackson Hole History Museum.
