Kyle Chandler has joined the cast of Netflix’s new crime thriller REST IN PEACE. It was previously announced that Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Sasha Calle, Nestor Carbonell, Catalina Sandino Moreno and Teyana Taylor would star. Joe Carnahan will direct the film.

The story follows a group of Miami police officers who discover millions of dollars in an abandoned stash house. Trust in the group begins to wane after others find out about the money. They begin to question themselves and those around them and find themselves in an unimaginable situation.

Ben Affleck and Matt Damon’s studio Artists Equity will produce REST IN PEACE alongside producers Luciana Damon and Dani Bernfield. Michael Joe and Kevin Halloran will executive produce.

Chandler has been busy lately. He was recently cast as DC superhero Hal Jordan in HBO and DC Studio’s highly anticipated show Lanterns. Production in the UK is expected to begin early next year.

Chandler gained fame after appearing as trainer Eric Taylor in the fan-favorite film Friday Night Lights. His most recent works include blockbusters Godzilla vs. Kong: The New Empire and Paramount+ series Mayor of Kingstown. He also just finished filming an indie film anniversary directed by Jan Komasca and Netflix’s upcoming action comedy Back to the action.

Netflix has not yet announced a release date REST IN PEACE.

Chandler is repped by Gersh and Brillstein Entertainment Partners.
