Microsoft is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Windows Insider Program with new wallpapers and a blog post highlighting the growing number of Insiders.

The program was announced on September 27, 2014 and launched on October 1, 2014 to collect public feedback during Windows 10 development.

As of January 2015, Microsoft had already enrolled 1.7 million people in the program. The program has since expanded to include testing Windows 11 builds and Windows apps and services.

Microsoft says the Windows Insider program has “continuously evolved” over the years, adding new preview experiences and features such as different preview rings and channels.

The blog post adds that the company “remains committed to listening to insiders and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with Windows.”

Finally, to celebrate the program’s 10th anniversary, Microsoft created unique edition wallpapers. The Microsoft Design team can download the light and dark wallpapers here.
