Jets vs. Bills live updates: NFL scores, game stats, highlights, injuries, analysis for the AFC East showdown

We have a good showdown coming up on Monday night with the Bills taking a 20-17 halftime lead over the Jets. The half ended with another incredible Hail Mary touchdown pass from Aaron Rodgers to Allen Lazard.

Rodgers’ touchdown pass to Lazard enlivened the Jets after the Bills had gained momentum. The Bills had scored 13 unanswered points before Rodgers completed his fourth career Hail Mary pass for a touchdown. This went for 52 yards.

Offensive was the story early on. The Jets scored on each of their first two drives, with Rodgers giving the home team a 10-7 lead with his short touchdown pass to Garrett Wilson. But the Bills’ offense was even better, as Josh Allen and backup running back Ray Davis led Buffalo with four scoring drives in the first 30 minutes of the game.

Davis, filling in for injured starter James Cook, had 116 all-purpose yards in the first half, including a 42-yard catch that set up Allen’s touchdown pass to Mack Hollins that gave the visitors a 13-10 lead midway through the second quarter -leadership provided. Hollins’ touchdown capped a 10-play, 90-yard drive that saw Buffalo impose its will on the Jets’ formidable defense.

Rodgers was 13 of 17 for 192 yards in the first half. But he was the victim of two sacks, including a devastating one by AJ Epenesa that led to New York’s second punt of the half. The punt set up the Bills’ fourth and final score of the half, as Allen threw a 12-yard touchdown pass to tight end Dawson Knock just before halftime. Allen completed 10 of 12 yards for 112 yards in the first half in addition to his 1-yard touchdown run on Buffalo’s first drive.
