Bills-Jets MNF: Open thread and gambling tips for tonight’s game

Week 6 in the NFL ends with a big AFC East matchup between the Buffalo Bills and the New York Jets.

Josh Allen and the Bills enter the contest with a one-game lead over Aaron Rodgers and the Jets for first place in the division. Adding to the drama, this will be the first game for Rodgers and New York after firing head coach Robert Saleh, with former defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich stepping in. Additionally, these two teams will be considered participants in the Davante Adams Sweepstakes.

This is your place to discuss the game with other Las Vegas Raiders fans and your gambling tips as the following is provided by FanDuel Sportsbook.

Bills vs Jets

  • Spread: BUF -1.5
  • O/U: 40.5
  • BUF ML: -116
  • NYJ ML: -102

Owner’s Recommendations: NYJ +1.5, Over 40.5, NYJ ML

I’m turning away from my choice in the pick’em competition because I’ve changed my mind. While he wants to deny any involvement in Saleh’s firing, where there’s smoke there’s fire, and I think Rodgers will be on a mission tonight to prove to the world that Saleh was the Jets’ biggest problem. The Bills have also lost two straight games after starting the year 0-3, and their three wins have come against the Cardinals, the Dolphins, where Tua Tagovailoa left early with a concussion, and the Jaguars. In other words, Buffalo is under fraud watch, so I’ll take the house dog instead.

As for the injury report, the Bills have several players listed, but no one has been ruled out at the time of writing. Running back James Cook (toe), cornerback Taron Johnson (forearm), defensive tackle Austin Johnson (oblique) and wide receiver Khalil Shakir (ankle) are all listed as questionable. Meanwhile, the Jets are without cornerback Michael Carter II (back), and tight end Tyler Conklin (hip) and linebacker CJ Mosley (toe) are questionable.
