SOPHIE LLOYD releases video for “Won’t You Come” with MARISA RODRIGUEZ

British guitar sensation Sophie Lloyd has released a music video for “Don’t you want to come?”a collaboration with MARISA AND THE MOTH front woman Marisa Rodríguez.

From last year’s debut album “Imposter Syndrome”, “Don’t you want to come?” is part of a collection that sees Lloyd She has teamed up with some of rock’s biggest names and their personal heroes to create a stunning collection of work covering a variety of genres from the rock and metal worlds. Published completely independently of her Autumn RecordsThe album debuted at number 3 on the rock charts and number 11 on the indie charts and received rave reviews in the press.

Sophia Comments: “I always enjoy working with you Marisa. She has one of the most incredible voices and is also so creative and passionate about everything she does. It’s very inspiring.

“We decided to make a music video for our song to celebrate the announcement that she will be joining me as one of the singers at my first live show at Underworld. The chemistry between us is amazing, we have so much fun performing together and I’m really excited to be joining forces again! It will definitely be an evening not to be missed.

This week Sophia plays their first headline show at London’s sold-out Underworld. British fans will have another chance to see her live in support at the Cardiff Arena THESE DAMN CROWS on December 14th. Sophia also recently announced a show at Whiskey A Go Go in Hollywood, California on January 16, 2025.

“Imposter Syndrome” features more great singles and guest collaborations like “Judge and Jury” (with Tyler Connolly from THEORY OF A DEADMAN),“Fall of Man” (with Matt Heafy of TRIVIUM),“Do it or die” (with Nathan James),“Lost” (with Cole Rolland),“runaway” (with Michael Starr from STEEL PANTHER),“Hold on” (with Lauren Babic)”, “Imposter Syndrome” (with Lzzy Hale from HALESTORM) and “Let it hurt” (with Chris Robertson of BLACK STONE CHERRY).

The 28 year old Lloyd told Guitar World about the LP: “I always said this album would be a tribute to my 15-year-old self. This is an album I wrote for this girl.”

“I’m so lucky to work with all the great singers on the record and I can honestly say I’ve been listening to them for years.

“I can’t tell you how enjoyable it was – I wrote the songs and then we sent them out and heard from the singers. They said, ‘Yeah, I really like that. It’s me.’ ready for it.’ Everything turned out better than I could have imagined.

As for the album title, Sophia said, “Well, imposter syndrome exists. It is a phenomenon that many people experience in all areas; not just in the music, but basically you feel like an impostor. You don’t deserve to be where you are, and at any moment people will expose you for what you are. I proved to myself, “Yes, you are here for a reason.” “
