Clare Dunne and Michael Socha accompany Bill Nighy in the road movie “500 Miles”

Irish actress Clare Dunne (Itself, relationship), Once upon a time Actor Michael Socha (Show trial, that’s England) and Dexter Sol Ansell, who was cast in one game of Thrones Prequel A knight of the Seven Kingdomshave joined Bill Nighy, Jojo Rabbit outstanding Roman Griffin Davis and Maisie Williams (game of Thrones) in the road movie 500 mileswhose filming has begun in Ireland.

Director: Morgan Matthews (X+Y, Williams), 500 miles is about a broken family forced to come together.

A synopsis describes the film as “a life-affirming road movie that follows runaways Finn (Davis) and his lively younger brother Charlie (Ansell) on a journey across land and sea to find their estranged grandfather (Nighy) in stunning and wild Ireland “West Coast.”

The film comes from Origin Pictures, Port Pictures and Minnow Films. It is produced in collaboration with Head Gear Films and Metrol Technology, LipSync, Sampsonic Media, Coimisiún na Meán and RTÉ.

True Brit Entertainment, the independent distribution company led by former Lionsgate UK CEO Zygi Kamasa, had previously acquired UK and Ireland distribution rights from global distribution agent Beta Cinema.

“500 miles is an original, charming and dramatic film with a great emotional core that will resonate with cinema audiences across the UK and Ireland,” said Kamasa.
