Oviya REACTS as fan asks for longer version of her leaked private video ‘Next Time Bro’

Oviya, a contestant in the first season of Bigg Boss Tamil, came into limelight due to a leaked personal video that circulated on the internet showing her in a compromising situation. Although neither Oviya nor her team have officially addressed the controversy, she posted a picture on Instagram on Saturday. In the comments, she confronted a user who tried to harass her by asking for the link to the extended version of the video and responding to the inappropriate remark. She wrote: “Next time bro.”

Screenshots of Oviya’s response quickly circulated on X (formerly Twitter), despite her adding disabling comments to her Instagram post. Many online users suspected that the video was a deepfake. When the video went viral, some people were shocked, while others speculated that the images and videos were just edited to harass them.

Oviya, real name Helen Nelson, is a well-known South Indian actress who works primarily in Malayalam and Tamil cinema. She made her film debut in 2007 with the Malayalam film Kangaroo opposite Prithviraj Sukumaran. Apart from acting, Oviya has also been a part of reality shows on television. In 2017, she participated in the first season of Bigg Boss Tamil hosted by famous actor Kamal Haasan. Oviya impressed viewers with her gameplay and quickly gained popularity. She later made a guest appearance in Bigg Boss Tamil 2, which further connected her with the show.

She made her debut in Tamil cinema in 2009 with Naalai Namadhe and has since appeared in several notable films including Ganesha Meendum Santhipom, Muthukku Muthaaga, Yaamirukka Bayamey, Sillunu Oru Sandhippu and Hello Naan Pei Pesuren. Oviya last starred opposite Yogi Babu in the 2024 Tamil film Boomer Uncle. She is also expected to essay important roles in upcoming projects like Raja Bheema and Sambhavam, but the latter is currently on hold.
