2024 Olympics results – live updates and coverage

It is a competition that has been going on for six decades – The 2024 Olympia, taking place October 10-13 in Las Vegas, Nevada, will showcase the world’s biggest and baddest bodybuilders on a single, star-studded stage.

Here are some of the many events we look forward to at the historic 60th “O”:

  • Last year, Mr. Olympia champion Derek Lunsford made history when he became Olympia’s first multi-division champion (Lunsford previously won the 212 division). Can he repeat and start building the next bodybuilding dynasty?
  • Chris Bumstead, the world’s most famous Physique athlete, is ready to claim his sixth victory in the famous Classic Physique category. However, Bumstead’s competition is stronger than ever and “CBum” has hinted at his retirement – is Bumstead’s swansong in 2024?
  • Ms. Olympia returned to the big stage in 2020. Andrea Shaw has taken the throne every year since, but challenger Angela Yeo is quickly closing in. Will there be a changing of the guard for women?

These are just a few of the many exciting storylines to be resolved in Sin City over the weekend.

This is the third year in a row that the Mr. Olympia title has gone to an entirely new champion. After so many decades of dynasties, it seems like the men’s Open division is more in disarray than ever. On the other hand, we may see the beginning of a new dynasty with Dauda.

  2. Hadi Choopan – $250,000
  3. Derek Lunsford
  4. Martin Fitzwater

To secure the win, Pearson had to edge out Shaun Clarida, who previously won the 212 crown in 2020 and 2022. Clarida’s plan this year was to appear slimmer and focus more on definition, but that was no match for Pearson.

  1. Keone Pearson – $50,000
  2. Shaun Clarida – $20,000
  3. Angel Calderon Frias – $12,000
  4. Kerrith Bajjo – $7,000
  5. Vitor De Oliveira – $6,000

Classic body results

Tell us if you have heard this before – Chris Bumstead is your Classic Physique Olympia Champion. “CBum” won gold for the sixth time in a row. Still, Mike Sommerfeld surprised the sport by not only finishing second but also seriously challenging Bumstead’s dominance. In the end, however, Bumstead was undeniable.

After securing his victory, Bumstead announced his retirement from competitive bodybuilding. He ended his bodybuilding career at the top as a champion who defined a division and brought a new generation of fans to the sport. This of course opens the door for Sommerfeld, Urs Kalecinski and the rest of this stacked roster in 2025.

  1. Chris Bumstead – $50,000
  2. Mike Sommerfeld – $20,000
  3. Urs Kalecinski – $12,000
