Unlimited Solutions Clubhouse hosts first golf tournament

ORRINGTON, Maine (WABI) – The Unlimited Solutions Clubhouse hosted its first golf tournament at Rocky Knoll Country Club on Sunday.

The tournament supports all services the clubhouse has to offer.

Founded in 2012, Clubhouse’s mission is to help people with mental illness achieve their life goals, such as: B. returning to work or school or simply improving their general well-being.

The clubhouse also has an advisory board that helps raise both money and awareness in the Bangor community as well as throughout Penobscot County.

Ragner Jaeger, a member of the clubhouse advisory board, says clubhouse members have helped give back over a million dollars to the community through the jobs they have been able to find at the clubhouse.

This week the clubhouse celebrates its 12th anniversary and general manager Carrie Lemos says they have managed to help over two thousand people since opening.

“I think of one of our members who came to us from day one 12 years ago and now works full time and is part of our advisory board. She is doing incredible things, living alone, living independently, working full time and pursuing her goals,” Lemos said.

“Penobscot County is beautiful and this area is just beautiful. We have a lot of people up here who like to play golf. There are so many golf courses and we thought that the people who want to support the Unlimited Solutions Clubhouse would also like to come out on a nice fall day, look at the foliage, play golf and do something good for the clubhouse and raise some money,” Jaeger said.

The clubhouse is open Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
