BioShock is now available completely free forever

2K’s BioShockWidely considered one of the greatest games of all time, you can now purchase it for free and keep it forever. The BioShock series has largely been on hold for a decade. Aside from a remastered collection released in 2016, the final main entry in the franchise, BioShock Infinitereleased in 2013. For those who may be unfamiliar with the series but have always wanted to get in, a new deal is far too good to pass up.

From now on, the remastered version of the original BioShock can be downloaded for free on the PC. The offer comes via Prime Gaming and is part of a promotion that runs until January 8, 2025. Anyone who redeems this offer will then receive a code that can be redeemed on GOG for PC.

The caveat to that BioShock The deal is that it’s only “free” if you’re subscribed to Amazon Prime. Therefore, it is technically an offer that you have to pay for in some way. However, considering how many millions of people around the world already have active subscriptions to Amazon Prime, this is an offer that many will already qualify for.

Moving forward, it is known that developer Cloud Chamber is currently working on a new BioShock entry. However, details about the release are not yet available, as 2K has been particularly tight-lipped about its creation. In the meantime, former BioShock Director Ken Levine is working on it Judaswhich shares many similarities with the other entries in the series.
